Dr. Greisner is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and has been practicing at Bluegrass Allergy Care for over 30 years. Having grown up with allergies and asthma himself, he understands first-hand the challenges these conditions bring.
He is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Virginia, was trained in internal medicine at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont and completed his pediatric and adult allergy and immunology fellowship at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island.
Today he also serves in vital roles as Chief of Allergy at Saint Joseph Hospital, President of the Blue Grass Society of Allergy & Asthma in Lexington, KY, and is on the board for the Eastern Allergy Conference, a regional organization.
As the owner and principal investigator at Bluegrass Allergy Research, Dr. Greisner has participated in over forty clinical trials with major pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Greisner is also a registered pharmacist, author of several medical articles, and has presented research at national and international meetings.
Dr. Greisner and his wife Ann have two adult children and live in Lexington, KY where Dr. Greisner is actively involved in the community. He currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Boy Scouts of America Bluegrass Council and is Chairman of his church board.
Dr. Greisner enjoys hiking and is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Four Thousand Footer Club, having climbed all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000 ft high summits. He is also an avid gardener. One of his gardens contains more than 50 different varieties of conifers.
